Glasta by Physibel is a specialized software tool for analyzing the thermal behavior of glass and glazing systems. It predicts temperature distribution in single and multi-pane glazing under real-world conditions—such as solar radiation, indoor/outdoor climates, and shading—so engineers can assess thermal stress and the risk of breakage. By simulating common glazing configurations (including coatings, gas fills, and interlayers) and various shading scenarios, Glasta helps optimize glass build-ups and select appropriate treatments, such as heat strengthening or tempering.

Key capabilities include:

  • Modeling temperature profiles and heat fluxes across glazing assemblies
  • Evaluating temperature gradients that drive thermal stress and potential breakage
  • Comparing design scenarios to identify safer, higher-performing options
  • Generating clear outputs for design reviews and documentation

Glasta is used by facade engineers, glass manufacturers, and building physics consultants to reduce failure risk, support specification decisions, and improve the reliability of curtain walls, facades, spandrels, and other glazed assemblies exposed to uneven solar gain or partial shading.

Glasta is developed by Physibel. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 5.0 and 5.1. The names of program executable files are Glasta.exe, GLASTA5.exe.
